ABOUT THE ANTI-CRUELTY SOCIETY
The Anti-Cruelty Society is a 501c(3) private non-profit humane society founded in 1899. We are Chicago’s oldest and largest, private, open-admission, unlimited stay animal welfare organization. With a mission of building a community of caring by helping pets and educating people, our comprehensive programs and services help over 50,000 animals and humans every year and include: adoption, charity veterinary clinic, low or no-cost spay/neuter clinic, cruelty investigations and rescue, humane education & community outreach, a free behavior hotline, dog training classes, SAFE program (short-term accommodations for emergencies), The Bruckner Rehabilitation & Treatment Center, the Virginia Butts Berger Cat Clinic, and the Dog Rehabilitation Center. We rely on the support of our community to keep our services thriving. With your help we are able to impact the lives of thousands of animals and their owners every year!

Animal lovers from around Chicago will be firing up their ovens to bake and sell treats around the city
Cupcake Day is a community bake sale whose proceeds benefit the animals and services of the Society
Cupcake Day is officially October 23 – but feel free to sell before or after too!

Cupcake Day is your chance to bake tasty treats and sell them to friends and family all over the city – and all in the name of helping the animals at the Society! Whether you host a sale at your school, office, or church, you have the power to sweeten someone’s day while raising funds to help pets in need. Click on the Get Involved tab to learn more about getting started!

GET INVOLVED
Interested in hosting your own bake sale to benefit our work? Great! Choose your recipe, gather supplies, and spread the word! Announce your fundraiser via social media, at your work, and throughout your neighborhood. Take orders in advance, or plan to set up a cupcake selling station at your office, school, or in front of your home. However you choose to do it – you’ll want to get the word out well in advance so people can prepare to purchase your tasty treats ahead of time. Then, once the fun is done, you’ll send the donations you collect our way and we’ll put those dollars to work for the animals!
And that’s not all! We have a ton of tools and resources we’ve put together to help you make your bake sale a success! Click on “Register” to start a fundraising page to collect pledges in advance or go to our blog to print posters to promote your event, find inspiration, check out some of our favorite recipes, and more!
