About BARK IN THE PARK

Saturday, May 21 marks The Anti-Cruelty Society’s 22nd annual 5k walk, Bark in the Park. We are thrilled to announce this year’s brand new location at the home of the Chicago Bears, Soldier Field! Enjoy sweeping skyline views as you stroll along Chicago’s famous lakefront path surrounded by fellow animal lovers and their canine companions.  After the walk, enjoy a morning of fun and long-lasting memories with your pooch on the Stadium Green.

Bark in the Park is the Society’s single largest fundraising event of the year. Last year we were forced to cancel the event due to the 2015 canine influenza outbreak, but now we are looking forward to welcoming even more participants at Chicago’s biggest dog party! This important fundraiser was the first pet-friendly event held in Chicago; and with more than 3,000 animal lovers, supporters, and walking enthusiasts returning, we anticipate this year being the best yet!

Day of registration opens at 7 a.m. and the walk steps off at 9 a.m. After the walk, participants will take part in a celebration complete with canine agility courses, product samples from small business sponsors, dog massages, a pawdicure spa, caricature drawings, arts and crafts, relay races, family friendly activities, plus free snacks, souvenir photos, 50/50 cash raffle, and much more!
